Probing deeper, AVnex finds out that some of their customers are totally business-minded.
A Singaporean education trainer uses the software to create voiceovers for her presentations at schools and fairs. “It enhances my voice”, revealed she to an online research. “It even improves my accent”.
Elsewhere in the USA, movie lovers and makers exploit the numerous “nickvoices”, which they can download free from AVnex’s website (http://www.audio4fun.com/nickvoices-effects.htm) if they own Voice Changer Software Diamond, to create voiceovers for their self-made videos, cartoons, narration, etc.
With the booming of video sites and voiced blogs, AVnex can happily expect this segment of their customers to grow.
“On a humorous note”, smiles Le, “one customer even renames his software voice constant. This man wants to make sure he sounds invariably him, so he fixes a modification frame on his Voice Changer and applies it for all his purposes: blogs, card greetings, phone answers, chats…”
So what will happen to studios and voiceover talents? Are they up to the challenge?
“We are not challenging anybody”, answers Le. “We sell software that people find helpful in various ways”.
