  • (1888PressRelease) January 03, 2012 - Vivid Racing put their in-house R&D department to work to create something special for the Vossen Wheels booth at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November of 2011. After buying a brand new 2012 Mercedes CLS63 V8 BiTurbo, and in cooperation with Brembo, KW, Agency Power, and RENNTech, they were able to assemble the first official VR700 kit.

The carbon fiber work was done through their own clay modeling process to sculpt and design their finished products. Up front is a three piece front lip spoiler. The side fenders feature a carbon fiber trim with badge placement. The trunk has a beautiful rear decklid spoiler that fits around the Mercedes emblem. The final amazing piece is the rear diffuser. Under the hood is a RENNTech ECU flash which takes the car to 670 crank HP. In addition to their Agency Power valvetronic exhaust system, a simple 700 HP was achieved. To take the exhaust one step further, they designed CNC machined billet aluminum exhaust tips and had them powdercoated black for a stunning exit. Keeping the car low to the ground is a set of the KW Coilovers with rear lowering links. The final in-your-face add-on are the giant Brembo brakes. The front 16inch 6piston rotor is massive with the same in the rear using a 4piston caliper. They were custom painted at Vivid Racing.

Just because SEMA is done, doesn't mean Vivid Racing is done setting the standards with their Project CLS63. They more recently added a set of the HRE 794RS 21 inch wheels. The front is a 21×9 and the rear a 21×10.5. The centers are finished in a brushed tinted clear while the outers are done in gloss black. The all new 790RS series by HRE has some unique style attributes and machining to the spokes. Keeping the power to the pavement is a set of Toyo T1R tires in a 255/30/21 and 295/25/21. In addition, at their Gilbert, Arizona fabrication facility, VR created a set of high flow downpipes that bolt to the stock system or to the Agency Power exhaust.

The incredible power that this luxury sedan puts down is quite amazing. The comforts of driving the vehicle with new Mercedes technology make it even more fascinating.
