Vivek Chopra Named President Of Csc’s India Operations

CSC today announced that Vivek Chopra has been named President of the company’s India operations, effective immediately. Chopra replaces Rajendra B. Vattikutti, who is retiring. He will report to Russ Owen, president of CSC’s Managed Services Sector and will be based at CSC's corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Va.


(1888PressRelease) May 27, 2009 - In addition, Krishnaswamy Subrahmaniam has been named Managing Director of CSC’s India operations. He will report to Chopra.

Chopra will be responsible for managing CSC’s sourcing capabilities from India and other delivery centers in the company’s world sourcing network. In addition, he will oversee the delivery of applications and remote infrastructure services to clients being serviced from India. Subrahmaniam will be responsible for operational performance, as well as the management of CSC’s portfolio of service offerings in India.

Chopra joined CSC as a division president in August 2008 with responsibility for sales and business development of India operations across various verticals globally. In his 29-year career, Chopra has worked for Wipro, Aditi Technologies and IBM in various key management positions. He brings his perspective and knowledge of sales, client servicing and business development, coupled with keen understanding of strategy formulation and execution. He also excels at planning and implementing new initiatives for growth while spearheading quality endeavors for customers globally.

Previously, Subrahmaniam served as president of Covansys, which was acquired by CSC in 2007. He has held various senior-level positions during his previous 15 years with the company and is an executive sponsor for many of the organization’s key initiatives.

Chopra holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from the Kellogg School of Management at Chicago’s Northwestern University. Subrahmaniam holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy at the University of Madras, India.
