March 10, 2009 - Visual Purple, LLC has been named as a finalist in The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) 24th Annual CODiE Awards. “Train ICS” was selected as one of four finalists in the Content Category under “Best Workforce Training Solution,” the three part 3D-animated simulation series provides opportunities to interact with a WMD expert and learn Incident Command basics; plan how to protect your city in time of crisis; then, armed with this knowledge and experience, test your mettle as Incident Commander as you make key decisions while a diabolical anthrax plot unfolds. Since “one size” doesn’t fit all, play each of three simulations from the perspective of any one of six first responder roles: Fire Chief; Police Chief; EMS Chief; EMA Chief; Hazmat Chief; or, Public Health Officer.
According to SIIA President Ken Wasch, "The competition is particularly steep this year during the 24th Annual SIIA CODiE Awards, making selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement." Wasch further added that "All the companies on this year's list of CODiE Finalists should feel justifiably proud of their accomplishment in making it to this stage, and have much excitement to look forward to regarding the upcoming CODiE Awards voting!" The finalists for the CODiE Awards were chosen from a field of 850 nominations submitted by 600 companies. This year, 345 finalists were named to celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and educational technology industries.
