Visitors And Locals Can Share Ideas In Beat The Heat Contest

Submit an essay to the Independence Visitor Center on the best way to "beat the heat" in Philadelphia during the summer for the chance of winning different prizes.


Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) June 12, 2008 - How do YOU beat the heat? From now through the end of June, Philadelphia visitors and locals alike can submit what they believe is the best way to “beat the heat” in the Philadelphia region during a hot summer day.

Five chosen winners will receive 4 front-row VIP tickets to see Peter Nero and the Philly Pops! perform live on Independence Mall on Thursday, July 3rd. The top-5 list will be published on the IVCC website during the month of August and in a special announcement in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The grand prize winner will also receive a 2-night stay at a local hotel for a family of 4, a $50 gas card and a free “John Adams” boxed-set mini-series DVD, produced by Tom Hanks.
