About Virtual UndergroundVirtual Underground is an Atlanta company which uses Ground Penetrating Radar to accurately locate and map underground structures such as utilities. Unique among Atlanta companies, VUI uses an array of GPR antennas (3D GPR). This advanced system is superior to other GPR systems. Providing an accurate map of the underground, Virtual Underground’s service reduces the risks of underground construction by finding utilities, discovers buried objects and bedrock, and carries out specialized mapping such as cemeteries and archeological sites. VUI creates value for its clients by providing a clear view of the underground. This gives companies the ability to make important decisions with more information than ever before.
Founded in 2004, Virtual Underground’s clients include engineering and construction companies, municipalities, utilities, golf courses, and cemeteries. The three founders of the company have extensive experience with GPR, having been key members of the research team that developed 3D radar. From its home base in Atlanta Georgia VUI serves the Southeastern United States.
