Vancouver, began operations under its new logo and banner January 1, 2008 by launching its new web site and reservation system, (http://www.rentacarvancouver.com). Lo-Cost Rent A Car has operated in the Vancouver area for over thirty years, until its sale in 2006, by CEO and President Hussein Amrani.
"Since the purchase of the company in 2006, we have seen large expansion in our client base, primarily from Asia, Europe and the United States," says Hussein Amrani. Under their new operating banner of Ibargain Rent A Car, the company plans to expand operations throughout the west coast, in both Canada and the United States. Presently, Ibargain rents out both economy as well as high end vehicles such as Mercedes Benz SL550, Mercedes Benz CL550, Mercedes Benz E320, Cadillac Escalade, Hummer H3 and Toyota Highlanders. Expansion plans include opening a second rental location within one year and two more locations in greater Vancouver by 2010. With the winter Olympics just over two years away, the company hopes to have completed expansion to meet the demand.
The success of the company, since 2006, has been a direct result of offering their customers a premium service with competitive pricing. One good example of this is their company policy involving age restriction. "With most car rental companies requiring their drivers to be at least twenty one years, our required minimum age for renting a vehicle is only eighteen," says Hussein Amrani. "Quite a few of our customers are students traveling to Vancouver from overseas. This is not business we are looking to turn away," adds Hussein Amrani. "In fact most of our younger clients are quite responsible." Over the next sixty days, the company head office, located at 1105 Granville Street in Vancouver, will under go renovations to adopt the new look, colors and image of Ibargain Rent A Car.
