This renewed little apartment is perfectly well located: I could really enjoyed “la vie parisienne” from inside:
At less than 2 minutes walking I found one of the best bakeries in Paris:” Aux castelblangeois” in where the “baguette traditionnelle” is fantastic and warm anytime. I’d lovely diners with delicious dishes in two very classy French restaurants “Le fumoir” and “L’Atelier Berger”, I did appreciated my diner “Au pied de cochon” too, it offers a more traditional food in a very happy atmosphere.
The very close environment offers many possibilities: I could walk to “Palais Royal”and enjoy this very quiet garden where parisians like to stay for a while, to “Le Louvre des antiquaires”, fantastic antiques center where I saw extraordinary but expensive pieces...,to “ Passage Vero Dodat” with its unusual old Parisian shops, to Place Vendôme having a look to the shinning windows of the famous luxurious jewellers, to “La Comédie Française”.
I could begin a full day visit of “Le Musée du Louvre” 2 minutes after I left my favourite apartments in Paris. In the tinny street Jean-Jacques Rousseau, I enjoyed nice antiques shops as well as an interesting 20th century design furniture boutique “Alexis Lehelec”.
A little further, 7 or 8 minutes walking, I could reach “Quartier Latin”after crossing the Seine river on the “Pont des arts”: I loved this lively area where french students like to gather near the famous Saint-Germain-des-Prés church. I’d a beer in “Les 2 magots”, famous café where Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir used to stay and still appreciated by the writers. From this short term apartment rental I could also walk shopping in rue du faubourg Saint Honoré having a look on most of the boutiques Haute couture: here are located Cartier, Hermes …..
I did appreciate a very convenient small supermarket G20 2 minutes walking from the apartment as well as the large choice of cafés and restaurants all around.
Louvre 200 was small but modern, clean and functional: coming back home in the evening after and exhausting visiting day to have a shower before going out again was a relaxing feeling, as if I were in my own home.
For me, its best quality is its exceptional location with so many authentic and exciting areas a short walk from it. I felt really impossible to get bored a minute in such a place!
