July 24, 2008 - V Events launches V Community, a new program designed to accommodate the explicit needs of non-profit organizations within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. V Community is dedicated to showcasing and supporting existing initiatives of community-oriented programs in North Texas through free event management hours and community service. As an integral part of the launch V Events will be honoring one non-profit organization each quarter. V Events is pleased to introduce the Non-profit Organization of the 3rd Quarter, AIDS Arms Inc. AAI will receive the following:
• Feature page and link on the V Events website for the entire quarter.
• Up to 60 hours of free event management and consulting services.
• Up to 10 volunteer hours by the V Events staff
AIDS Arms Inc. aids individuals in acquiring the resources and health care they need to successfully manage the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS. AIDS Arms Inc. aims to raise awareness of the effects of HIV/AIDS through special events, program initiatives, partnerships and capital campaigns. In 2007 AIDS Arms Inc. raised almost $400,000 for the fight against HIV/AIDS through its signature event LifeWalk. LifeWalk is a 3.2 mile walk through Dallas’ scenic Turtle Creek and Uptown. The event attracts families and dogs alike who want to make a difference in the community. Join AIDS Arms Inc. and V Events on October 5, 2008 for LifeWalk and LifeBark from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM for entertainment, games, food, face painting and more.
