Urbanology Magazine launches new promotion: Spot an Ad, Take a Picture, Receive a Complimentary One-Year Subscription

Canada’s leading urban publication kicks off its 5th year in print with a “Spot That Ad” promotion, for its Content That Matters campaign.


(1888PressRelease) July 25, 2009 - Urbanology Magazine has launched a new ad campaign called Content That Matters, to commemorate this milestone anniversary and celebrate its ability to deliver worthwhile and relevant content to its readers for the past five years.

Throughout the month of July, Urbanology will be hosting a “Spot That Ad” contest for the residents of its birth city, Toronto. Anybody who sends a picture of a Content That Matters subway ad will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to the magazine! The pictures will also be uploaded to the various social media networking accounts Urbanology subscribes to including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, etc.

“We are excited to be entering our fifth year of production and feel that this contest is a rewarding opportunity for our readers as well as the city on a whole,” says Priya Ramanujam, co-publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Urbanology Magazine.

For the past five years, Urbanology Magazine has been the leading Canadian hip-hop/urban lifestyle publication on newsstands across North America. Its focus on delivering content that matters surpasses any other magazine on the market today. Urbanology manages to touch on issues that really affect and relate to its readers, while still maintaining a mainstream edge.

Content That Matters advertisements can be found on all TTC subway lines. The campaign features the likes of celebrity actor and hip-hop veteran Ice Cube and rising Canadian star Drake, shot exclusively for past issues of Urbanology Magazine by two highly respected and revered staff photographers, Che Kothari and Matt Barnes respectively.
