(1888PressRelease)
June 02, 2007 - The website WWW.THESSF.ORG its owner Mr. Sam Patterson's of Soldier's Stewardship Foundation and its Special Project “Bronzes Of The Brave” contains several untrue allegations and slamming comments about the “Bronzes of the Brave” original board members who are responsible for inviting Mr. Sam Patterson to be a part of this noble project. Due to Mr. Patterson's inability to work as a team player and several damaging comments he made to the families of our fallen heroes the board saw fit to remove him from the project. Mr. Sam Patterson has since claimed foundership and directorship which is simply not true. The project has been re-named “Operation Never Forget” and continues to flourish despite the hate mail postings Mr. Sam Patterson and his alleged Communications Director and Webmaster, Mr. Degan continues to circulate.
Since the re-naming of this noble project, Mr. Sam Patterson has created a website and is posting misrepresented information, which may even be illegal; for example, there is no proof clearly posted anywhere on the www.thessf.org website that the SSF or the Bronzes of the Brave is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation as advertised. Also, Mr. Sam Patterson’s website had boasted several influential board members, these members included; Maj. General Ron Richard, USMC ret., Lt. Gen. J.E. Livingston, USMC ret. and B. Gen. R. David Papak, USMC . These individuals have been apprised of Mr. Sam Patterson's and Degan’s out-of-control behavior and have since removed their names from the www.thessf.org website.
In closing, the members of “Operation Never Forget” will continue to keep a close eye on Mr. Sam Patterson and Degan’s web postings, articles, press releases and activities. Their actions as of today are recorded and reported to the ONF legal counsel and will use whatever legal means available to make sure no more families of fallen heroes are ever again to endure the feeling that their loss is someone’s else’s gain, as Mr. Patterson bluntly said to a family who lost their son while fighting in Iraq “there is a lot of money to be made from this type of project…”
For further questions or concerns regarding this, please feel free to contact any of the Operation Never Forget board members, any of them are at your disposal via telephone or email. Their information can be found on the website, www.operationneverforget.org
