April 21, 2009 - University of Michigan Senior Jevohn Shepherd has signed with Sports Agent Nate McCray of Dynasty Sports Management. It was confirmed this morning that the Toronto, Ontario native did sign with the firm and McCray will represent the soon-to-be graduate during his professional basketball career.
Shepherd was the key contributor towards the Wolverines success this year as they advanced to the second round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament losing to Oklahoma and ending the season with a 21-14 record.
The Slasher Guard, who is known as Air-Canada, with the Michigan student section in Ann Arbor, Michigan is also known for adding intensity on the boards and contributing significantly on the defensive end of the court.
Outside of his major accomplishments at the University of Michigan such as having his career high in points versus the Iowa Hawkeyes, Jevohn already has a reputation overseas due to him helping Team Canada to the Bronze Medal of the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand during the summer of 2007.
"It's an honor and a pleasure to be picked to represent someone like Jevohn. He definitely has what it takes to succeed on the professional level regardless if it's the National Basketball Association, or overseas in Europe", says Shepherd's agent McCray.
During the World Games, Shepherd posted a game high of 28 points against New Zealand. Other key contributions were three exhibition tours in Europe in 2006 after helping Michigan to the Postseason NIT, the 2005 FIBA Under-21 World Championship with Team Canada, the 2004 NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp and the 2004 Nike All-Canada Camp.
In the meantime Jevohn will continue to study for his final exams and prepare for graduation in May. Afterwards, he will prepare for NBA workouts and opportunities overseas.
