July 24, 2008 - Universal Wrecking Corp., a demolition and scrap metal recycling contractor that operates on a nationwide basis, recently acquired a LaBounty 3000R Metal Shear mounted on a Caterpillar 345BL. This purchase compliments their already extensive fleet of Caterpillar and LaBounty equipment.
Universal Wrecking Corp (UWC) is experiencing unparalleled growth. The company is conducting several demolition and scrap recovery projects and is also bidding and in negotiations for several other large scrap recycling projects. To meet this demand, the company determined that another excavator with shear was necessary. UWC also has two (2) more shear units ordered and will be taking delivery of these in the next few months.
UWC has tested many manufacturers of excavators and shears in the last 10 years and has found that the quality of the Caterpillar and Labounty combination is far superior to other units. The initial cost is more then other brand combinations but the production and minimal down time pays for itself by completing projects on time or ahead of schedule which also has the added benefit of making UWC's client extremely pleased. Another benefit is that the resale value far exceeds other combinations.
