Vehicles co-manned by registered armed response personnel and first responders and equipped with the multi-award winning life saving product HemCon™ have been deployed in and around Kensington.
These high visibility vehicles will supply back up to local “bobbies on the beat” as well as a first response medical service to local community members who subscribe to the service. All vehicles will be equipped with HemCon™ which is a product specifically designed to stop bleeding.
Blood loss is the major cause of death amongst gunshot victims. An American company aptly named HemCon, short for haemorrhage control, has invented a bandage that seals the wound and can stop severe bleeding in less than two minutes.
This patented product received a record 72 hour FDA approval and was awarded the Pentagon Award as one of the top 10 military inventions of all time.
The product is presently issued to all US soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Locally, the physical risk company 365 Risk Solutions (Pty) Ltd has received the distribution rights from Mkhuseli Trauma Products to market and distribute this life saving product to the military, police and security industries.
