  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2014 - The San Diego-based performance clothing brand UncommonBreed™ Apparel is setting out to create the perfect inspiring crossfit, running and workout gear. UncommonBreed™ Apparel is establishing themselves as the brand for underrated and unknown athletes.

As the first of its kind endorser of underrated athletes, UncommonBreed™ has plans to create opportunities to help overlooked athletes and individuals become better at their craft to live and reach their dreams.

Within its first 13 months UncommonBreed™ has produced its very 1st running and workout apparel line called "GoingPro" which was introduced on Kickstarter (retrieved, bit.ly/uncommonbreedgear). "GoingPro" has been designed to Jump-Start Ambition, Empower Performance and Increase your Confidence of both men and women!

This inspired brand is a creation of one young man, a former professional athlete and business graduate from the University of Phoenix, Wess Stepp. "My path to becoming a professional athlete was extremely tough and very unconventional, especially with years of playing in development leagues and it didn't help seeing the other guys give up on a regular basis; so I knew that my skill and desire along couldn't get me to my designation - I needed help," says Stepp.

Wess decided that there has to be a better solution for those athletes considered second-stringers in a world that only knew starters. This led to the creation of UncommonBreed™ Apparel.

After nearly a year of researching, designing and ironing out the DNA of UncommonBreed™, Stepp had created a competitive, sleek and peak performance brand out of pure motivation alongside the partnerships of four major manufacturers and suppliers in America.

Many of its beginning customers who tested out the prototype gear had said that, "UncommonBreed™ has the uniqueness of Under Armour, style of Puma and the drive of Red Bull; it's like a morphed baby between the three" (retrieved - Facebook ( @ ) ubperformance) dot

It's a project that Stepp is very excited about. However, "I thought funding it myself would be the best move, but a year of designing, testing, sponsor programming and manufacturing expenses plus student loans limits my ability to fund solo any longer," says Stepp. Therefore, Wess has taken his idea to Kickstarter.com in an attempt to raise at the minimum of $2,000 in 30 days. This way, at minimum he can continue producing its "GoingPro" line for store orders.

While UncommonBreed™ designs running and workout apparel for everyone who considers themselves an athlete, its significance is more versatile than its apparel. "Even though we adopted our fabrics from the most powerful in our industry and combined them with personalized saying of our athletes and personalized motivation from some of the greatest athletes that walked this earth; this brand will have the backs of and support underdog athletes as a sponsor," says Stepp.

Just like the giants in the industry, Wess has strategic plans to have UncommonBreed™ in all 50 states sponsoring athletes from amateur level up into the professional ranks by 2017. For 2015, UncommonBreed™ will be sponsoring its first 5k Run event alongside sponsoring its first athlete. "The training doesn't get easier, it never will be easy, but when you have a team supporting you - it makes achieving your goal that much more obtainable," says Stepp.

Kickstarter campaigns operate under an "all-or-nothing" funding model so if the UncommonBreed™ project "GoingPro" doesn't reach its goal at the end of 30 days then it might be years before you'll see it in the market.
