August 22, 2009 - UBUD - Ubud Full Moon Festival, Wednesday (5/8/2009) was organized by The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa, Ubud, Bali. Its purpose was not only to introduce the cultural asset and arts but also to attract tourists.
Every full moon, Balinese people, especially the Hindu devotees make it a special day. They always organize a ritual and festival and so does The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa, Ubud, Bali. The full moon festivity in 2009/2010 has become a monthly event at the hotel and at the same time, it participates in preserving the Balinese culture.
The celebration of full moon falling in this August, The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa organized the Ubudian Art and Cultural Organization and Troupes. Its atmosphere was resplendent. There were Ubud Culinary, Balinese Offerings & Parades, Gamelan & Dances as well as Art & Culture.
Other attractive packages intended for spa goers, The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa offered Full Moon Spa Yoga in the form of Sound Healing Meditation & Wellness. The most impressive event is the pinnacle at night called the presentation of Full Moon Observations, namely watching the natural allurement of full moon by telescope while drinking tea or wine. In addition, you will also be taken to see ancient films of Bali (circa 1920s) where one of them is entitled “The Gods of Bali” by maestro Miguel Covarrubias.
Furthermore, The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa during the year 2009/2010 will organize Ubud Full Moon Festival every month with the schedule as follows: Friday (4 September 2009), Wednesday (3 October), Monday (2 November), Tuesday (1 December), Thursday (31 December), Friday (29 January 2010), Sunday (28 February 2010), Monday (29 March) and Wednesday (28 April). Specifically on the year change of 2009 to 2010, the celebration will be organized differently, namely by combining with the celebration of year change. For this event, there will be additional charge to the enthusiasts of Ubud Full Moon Festival.
Observing the launch of Ubud Full Moon Festival in August 2009, in fact it could refresh every single enjoyer. The event was packed nicely and professionally. Such monthly event organized since last June 2009 is expected to become one of the benefits to tourism of Indonesia and of Bali in particular.
