March 21, 2008 - TYGAR Manufacturing, LLC, the leading manufacturer of turnkey decorative curbing equipment for the landscape curbing industry, announced the opening of its first office in Ontario. TYGAR's regional office will provide sales and technical support, live demonstrations, and training support to all TYGAR customers in Ontario. The demand for curbing continues to grow rapidly all over Canada and especially in its most populous province. In the past year, TYGAR has exhibited at two trade shows in Canada, sponsored a trade show guide, and performed curbing demos in the country. The opening of the Ontario office is yet another sign of TYGAR's commitment to serving the Canadian market.
As most contractors in northern climates have learned, concrete curbing is extremely resilient and freezing temperatures do not adversely impact curbing. As long as the proper process is employed, the extreme freezing and thawing of Canadian winters won't affect the structural strength of landscape curbing anymore than warmer climates. TYGAR has developed proven admixtures and processes to greatly reduce concrete cracking and extend the life of curbing in any climate.
TYGAR has also recently introduced the first ever Driveway Liner Package, which is in high demand in Canada as in other areas. With our landscape curbing equipment, landscape contractors can now offer customers attractive and practical driveway and hardscape accents, such as Belgium block, driveway skirts, and inlayed stone surfaces. Utilizing TYGAR's exclusive processes and equipment, these aesthetic borders are extruded and stamped in less than half the time, and at a fraction of the expense, as other hardscaping methods. The process utilizes specially designed molds and stamps to extrude various brick patterns, raised or inlayed stone with mortar joints, and other stone patterns, along driveways, walkways or patios, in up to 24 different colors. The process is very efficient and is generally complete in one day, including prep and cleanup. Many similar hardscape jobs require several days, cause messy and disruptive job sites, and are costly.
