May 27, 2009 - Recently launched Twitter TV , the first 24 hour Internet TV network surrounded around Twitter, airing from its website, www.twittertv.com, five days per week. The internet based network has launched 3 shows already; Twitter Unleashed – CNN meets SNL, Twitter Lipstick and Coffee, the View meets Oprah with a sexy twist, and Twitter 'wit' the Flow, American Idol meets MTV.
Carlton Enoch, the show founder and CEO of Connection Films, took action on his idea to talk about what people were tweeting about on a small radio broadcast using BlogTalkRadio in late February 2009. The show gained quick popularity with its unique format and began to experience explosive growth and grew quickly from its humble radio beginnings to become the first TV network to venture into television on the Internet.
Twitter TV is hosted live in Hollywood, CA at the Bungalow Club and Lounge on Melrose and Fermosa. The Bungalow Club has hosted many of the hottest celebrity galas and after parties including the 81st Annual Academy Awards, American Idol, Tyra Banks Show, Top Chefs, and Survivor.
Twitter TV now has the facility for audience members to join in on all the Twitter fun and will open the doors to welcome audience guest whom invites you to bring your laptops and send out tweets to your followers while enjoying the live on air broadcast on May 27th, 2009.
Enoch says, “The network is Twitter specific, that's what makes it so unique. If it Ain't on Twitter, it Ain't on Twitter TV . We have three dynamic shows that cover every angle of the Twitter community.”
Airing Monday through Wednesday from 5-7pm PST, “Twitter Unleashed” is hosted by Carlton Enoch himself and is a”Off the Hook” with an open format that tunes into everything from the ordinary to the off the wall. But there's one glitch, the Host has no sense. If not for his grounded beauty and co-host that gives him a smack in th head and kick in the ass every now and then, it's no telling where this show might end up. The drama really starts when side kick “Danger” Will Robertson get Twitter happy and jumps on Twitter and gets Twitterers to call into the show.
On Thursday 11am – 12 noon, the ladies focus on issues that concern women searching out tweets by women on everything from men to menopause, to family, faith, fitness and fashion, Lipstick and Coffee focuses on issues that concern women. With more than a 100 years of combined experience from the Hot, Sexy, Smart, Witty and the Mature these four women share compassion,humor, information and wisdom with their viewers on issues that face all women today. From a tear to a smile, from a laugh to a cry, they converse with their audience over a cup of coffee smeared with lipstick.
The week is rounded off 11 am – 12 noon PST on Friday with “Twitter 'wit' the Flow”. Twitter 'wit' the Flow focuses on the unknown artist. Twitter TV finds them on Twitter, invites them to send in their music videos for us to play live on the air. Host will play the music video and break it down sharing what they like and dislike or if it has a flow. The host will put their spin on it recommending it to the record label or to the trash.
Twitter is truly a phenomenon as it continues to give birth to such fabulous projects and opens new creative avenues for expression. With this explosive growth, Enoch is making sure we will see more of the Twitter TV broadcast in the mainstream and is currently shopping the pilot with Twitter and several other networks.
