In 2010, Fogarty was recognized in the Bet-the-Company Litigation category for the first time and on the heels of a First District Court of Appeal victory in San Francisco for the title industry, which resolves an issue of first impression in California. The court determined that the title industry should not be liable for losses incurred by purchasers of phony mortgage loans in the secondary market. In 2009, Goff and Jones were named “Lawyers of the Year” for the Sacramento region in the Commercial Litigation and Real Estate categories, respectively. The 2010 Best Lawyers “Lawyers of the Year” are not yet determined.
