February 13, 2008 - LAHORE (Pakistan) - A delegation of TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company ) will visit Singapore and Malaysia from February 16 (Saturday) to explore opportunities of collaboration with technical institutions of these fast growing nations.
According to TUSDEC spokesman, the team led by company's chairman Mr. Manzar Shamim will visit world renowned technical education institutes in Singapore like Nanyang Polythechnic and discuss the modalities for collaboration in the field of skill development and training.
They will also visit German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) and Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) during their visit to Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The team is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMI for cooperation between the two organizations.
The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) is working to promote the transfer of technology through technical education and training in Malaysia.
The spokesman hoped that the interaction and collaboration with these internationally recognized institutes would help build on efforts already made by the company for the promotion of skills needed to turn Pakistan's economy especially the engineering industry competitive vis-a-vis other players at the global and regional level.
