San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease)
June 23, 2009 - Tumri, the leading provider of dynamic and intelligent display advertising solutions, today announced that it has won two awards in the Web Marketing Association’s 2009 Interactive Advertising Competition (IAC). The company is the recipient of “Best Computer Hardware: Rich Media Online Campaign” for its executions with Hewlett-Packard and “Best Retail: Rich Media Online Campaign” for its executions with Sears. The prestigious honor is awarded by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible and showcase achievement in Internet advertising.
Tumri won the “Best Computer Hardware: Rich Media Online Campaign” award for its work with Hewlett Packard’s Holiday Campaign, which featured several timely sales events throughout the holiday season. The campaign included different awareness messaging, select co-branding, unique promotions and varying products merchandised within the advertisements that ranged from PCs, laptops, printers, and other computer-related equipment. In total, the series of HP Holiday campaigns reached over 140 million US unique users with approximately 4,000 unique creative and messaging combinations, all while delivering ROI performance on par with search.
In addition, Tumri was awarded for its work with “The Great Indoors Campaign from Sears.” For Sears, Tumri and ARS Advertising designed a highly successful geographically targeted campaign that promoted and merchandised home interior products from ‘The Great Indoors’ online store, while including a real-time store locator and online coupon download – all within the ad itself. This unique AdPod enabled Sears’ ‘The Great Indoors’ to drive online transactions and offline foot traffic to their brick-and-mortar stores, all in the same advertising experience with a singular media buy.
The awards were based on the judging criteria of "creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium."
“We are honored to be recognized by our peers, including Boston Media, CNN News Group, dnb worldwide communications, IBM and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, with this year’s IAC Award win,” said Calvin Lui, president and CEO of Tumri. “Our success with both the HP and Sears campaigns underscores the overwhelming effectiveness and performance gains achieved through Tumri’s dynamic and intelligent display advertising platform. With Tumri, marketers can now create unprecedented, powerful advertising experiences that deliver relevant and timely product merchandising while also addressing online and offline goals.”
Fellow winners in other categories include industry stalwarts, such as Razorfish, Agency.com, Ogilvy, McCann Worldgroup and 360i. The Tumri AdPod marries advanced targeting capabilities with a dynamic, interactive presentation layer, enabling advertisers to craft highly targeted marketing messages to consumers on-the-fly. The Tumri platform seamlessly deconstructs ad creatives into core sub-components (i.e. brand logo, background image, product image, offer/price, call to action, attention grabber, etc.), then allows advertisers to adjust each sub-component by targeting or performance parameters. As a result, the Tumri platform delivers highly relevant advertising messages to consumers while lowering creative production costs and timelines.
The Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the award winning Internet advertising. This is one of the only competitions to recognize only online categories of advertising. IAC Award entries are submitted by advertising and interactive agencies or corporate marketing departments worldwide.
