Tulip Inn Zevenbergen Upgrades To A Golden Tulip And Celebrates

With a fantastic combination of music and culinary delights, the management of Golden Tulip Zevenbergen and over 100 business partners and guests celebrated the re-opening the hotel on Thursday February 8th.

(1888PressRelease) February 14, 2007 - Golden Tulip is proud to announce the re-opening of the recently renovated, upgraded and re-branded Golden Tulip Zevenbergen.

In November 2003, the newly built 63-room hotel, situated next to the renowned restaurant “De 7-Bergsche Hoeve” in Zevenbergen opened its doors as the Tulip Inn Zevenbergen.

In the course of 2006, the management of Tulip Inn Zevenbergen, after operating the hotel as a three star hotel became aware of the vast growing demand for more superior class accommodation by middle and upper management of companies situated in the Moerdijk area. In order to keep up with the guest’s demands and to stay ahead of competition, Tulip Inn Zevenbergen invested in upgrading both rooms and publics areas to achieve the status of a four star hotel.

The official re-opening of the hotel took place on Thursday February 8th and with over 100 business partners and guests. During the ceremony speeches were given by Mr. Jeu Klaas, Chairman of the Koninklijke Horeca Nederland and Mr. G. Muns, Owner of Golden Tulip Zevenbergen. Mr. Haike Blaauw, Vice President Commercial Services of Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts, opened the ceremony.

Mr. Blaauw took this opportunity to award the Golden Tulip Zevenbergen with Hotel of the Year 2007 Award, category Tulip Inn, Benelux.

Hans Kennedie, Managing Director & C.E.O. of Golden Tulip Hospitality, states: “The upgrade of the three star to a four star hotel reflects the current market situation in the area in which the hotel operates. It gives us great pleasure to see that our different brands offer hoteliers possibilities to keep up with market conditions.”

Mr. George Muns, Director of the Golden Tulip Zevenbergen comments: “The recognition of the fourth star and the Golden Tulip status is a confirmation of our hard work and a stimulant to continue. We are confident that this recognition will help us meet the local demand for an upscale hotel.”
