August 28, 2009 - Mesa AZ – The Home Sweet Home Campaign is proud to announce a new partnership with Soldiers’ Angels. Through Home Sweet Homes TShirts 4 Soldiers program, the volunteers of Soldiers’ Angels now have something extra special to send in their next care package. With this partnership, these Angel’s act of kindness can help raise funds for both their organization and USA Cares.
Effective immediately, all Soldiers’ Angels will be entitled to a 10% discount on any TShirt 4 Soldiers purchase.
With each Angel’s purchase, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today Program AND to Soldiers’ Angels. Patti Patton-Bader, founder of Soldiers’ Angels had this to say, “This is a great project and our Angels are excited to have this option to get an individualized t-shirt to celebrate their deployed heroes, while also supporting wounded heroes at the same time through USA Cares”.
TShirts for Soldiers is a unique and fun way to send a piece of your heart and home to a Service Member you love.
Spouses, children, mothers and now Angels are designing and shipping “one of kind” TShirts to their deployed Service Members. It’s quite simple; design your own Tee or pick from one of a selection of preprinted designs, either way you will be touching a Soldier when they need it most. As Deirdre Johnson, Navy wife of a deployed Sailor, explains “A soldier thousands and thousands of miles away in a foreign land will smile once again... upon receiving this TShirt! The Happiness is PRICELESS”. Deirdre’s design is one of the featured preprinted designs available on the Home Sweet Home Campaign website.
By expanding their relationships to include Soldiers’ Angels, the Home Sweet Home Campaign will have the opportunity to reach another market; the Angel’s market. This group of volunteers plays a very important role in this war, providing comfort and support to deployed Service Members and their families. Beth Ann VanHoose, founder of the Home Sweet Home Campaign said, “We are honored to be working with two great organizations, USA Cares and Soldiers’ Angels. They have the same goal; supporting our Service Members and their families when they need it most. We couldn’t be happier to make this announcement”. With nearly 200,000 volunteer Angels across the globe, the Home Sweet Home Campaign is more confident than ever that they will meet their goal of $1M for USA Cares while raising a nice amount of money for Soldiers’ Angels along the way.
About the Home Sweet Home Campaign
The Home Sweet Home Campaign was inspired by Tim Little; a US Army reservist who served two tours in the Middle East and currently suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Little and his family nearly lost their home while he was being evaluated by the VA, but thanks to USA Cares, they were able to stay in their home and focus on the future and healing.
The Home Sweet Home Campaign has pledged to raise $1 million dollars for USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today Program. Raising funds through the TShirts 4 Soldiers and Groups That Care programs, the Campaign will be helping wounded veterans and their families keep their homes while the veteran receives the treatment he or she needs and deserves. For every product sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to USA Cares.
