The free upgrade was provided for clients utilizing the billboard lighting controller software for easier manageability of test and diagnostics, alerts and lamp management screens. The changes implemented March 1, 2009 so far have received positive reviews from users, whose feed back was instrumental to the change. The True Tracker is touted as a new green technology. It consists of a wireless remote control and monitoring device, when paired with API Monitoring, that billboard companies can use to remotely turn on and off power to the structures' individual faces, set lighting schedules, and provide proof of performance reports.
