Mark Murphy, national marketing director for True Blue Coffee Roasters, has had an excellent response to the program from interested individuals. Due to the high volume of inquiries, he has been able to sign on new independent sales representatives daily. “Our program has been an overwhelming success,” Mr. Murphy said recently. “We continue to get inquiries from across the nation, allowing us to choose the brightest and the best sales reps possible. Also, we are extremely pleased that most of the inquiries have came from individuals who share our deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility.”
True Blue Coffee Roasters chose to use an independent sales representative strategy for their national expansion, eschewing more common methods such as using distributors. “Our goal was to create a national market for our products, as well as provide employment for people,” said Rob Luzader, the company's General Operations Manager And Roastmaster.
