April 09, 2008 - The OSP Tel-Line Tester can also be used to monitor directly to your test set or laptop through the RJ-11 port or it can be used as a modular line tester (Banjo) at the customer premise. This innovative tool has been standardized by all Bell Operating Companies.
The OSP Tel-Line Tester plugs into 5-pin connector blocks to isolate the Central Office from the field at SLC Remotes, building entrances and Central Offices. This test tool looks IN or OUT with butt sets or voltmeters.
The OSP Tel-Line Tester comes separately or in a kit that includes a Looping Plug designed to restore service to the customer while testing their telephone line. The Looping Plug locks into the modular jack located at the rear of the Tel-Line Tester. The plug is equipped with a 3” lanyard that can be looped over the handle of a screwdriver or clipped to the auxiliary tool pouch for storage. Also included in the kit is a Ground-Start Cord and a 3’ wall cord/craft access terminal cord. The contents of this kit come in a convenient carrying pouch.
