May 29, 2009 - “I am honored to be a part of this program because it has such a direct impact on the Atlanta community,” Mansfield says. “This is a great opportunity for Atlanta’s brightest professionals to become stronger, more authentic leaders.”
Founded in 1990, the program runs October through May, and classes include two weekend retreats and six half-day monthly sessions. Class members practice what they learn by serving as a facilitator for one of the meetings during the year following their class. Areas of concentration include values, ethics, legacy and stewardship.
“The BBA Leadership Program has been a great resource for me both personally and professionally,” Mansfield says. “Members are involved in all sorts of civic affairs, not-for-profit organizations and educational programs. These are relationships that last a lifetime.”
