Trinity Academy Of Raleigh Hosts Society Of Classical Learning Annual Conference

Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh, a K-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the school will host the 2007 Society of Classical Learning Conference June 28-30 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel at 421 S. Salisbury St. in Raleigh.


Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) June 26, 2007 - Dr. Robert Littlejohn, head of school at Trinity Academy of Raleigh, a K-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that the school will host the 2007 Society of Classical Learning Conference June 28-30 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel at 421 S. Salisbury St. in Raleigh. The event, now in its 10th year, is held annually to provide educators, administrators and board members from around the nation a forum to exchange ideas, discuss new practices that are impacting America’s schools and offer various perspectives on matters of interest to classical educators.

This year’s event will focus on improved tracks for grammar school instruction, as well as a continued examination of math, science and history, among other topics. Presenters will include a number of prestigious educators from around the nation, led by Dr. Walter Buckalew, Dr. Carl Richard, Dr. John L. Cooley, Dr. E. Christian Kopff and Dr. Peter Kreeft, who has been selected as this year’s plenary speaker and will lecture on Blaise Pascal: Faith, Science and Mathematics. Dr. Kreeft is a professor of philosophy at Boston College and has authored more than 45 books as well as number of scholarly essays on a wide range of religious and philosophical topics.
