San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease)
September 06, 2008 - With the successful launch of British Guitarist Chris Adams' first new Album in a few years, Tree Records has completed it's planned triple release of Albums in the Digital Format.
"Under The Northern Lights" features music to relax with after a stressful day and takes it's inspiration from the power of Nature in the form of the Aurora Berealis (The Northern Lights). Man gets so intensely involved in matters Human, he forgets just how insignificant he is in the overall scheme of things.
Triggered by increased energy output from the Sun, the Auroras appear over both the North and South Poles during their Winters of darkness (eternal night) and are aluminous electrical atmosphere phenomenon which produces huge 'curtains' or 'streams' of technicoloured lights which form, shift, change, then vanish only to re appear elsewhere in a different pattern and colourings. Sometimes the lights are so bright it is like daytime in the middle of the night.
Viewed in a silent landscape, the Northern Lights produce an eerie, magical glow to life on Earth which few people ever get to see and those who can, seldom stop to observe the events. Chris' music captures the moods and feelings, the bright and muted colours of the Northern Lights in music. He has a reputation already as a musician who injects a lot of emotional feelings and tensions into his music.
With both America and New Zealand building up to Elections at present, the timing of this relaxing Album could not be more perfect. Give your nervious system a break from the stresses of politics and unwind, becoming engolfed and gently caressed by the magic of the music. Put yourself "Under The Northern Lights" for a while and marvel at the power and beauty of the Universe we are but a small part thereof.
The mixture of electric and acoustic guitars, vocals and an offering by the Bard himself, JS Bach, this Album is impressive. Special thanks to Jan Curtis who allowed the use of two amazing photos of "The Northern Nights" for the covers of the Album. These photos are so powerful, you can feel as it you are right there simply by gazing at them. Should you become curious to know or see more of Jan's brilliant photos, simply visit: http://climate.gi.alaska.edu./Curtis/aurora/aurora.html and that URL is on the back of Chris' CD for future reference.
