March 19, 2008 - Traveloblog is the latest addition to family of websites generally described as travelogues. Launched in February, traveloblog.com started blogging with few friends who decided to store and share their travel journals efficiently and in a quality format. Maggie - work-at-home mother of one from New York recalls conversing with friends from abroad: "We're all so busy, how do we both stay in touch and learn of new and old travel destinations?"
Meeting new people wasn't initially a plan, but their travel blogs gave the beginning to what's commonly described today as social networking site. Several other bloggers came on board. The most well known traveler to join the blog is so far Ludovic Hubler - French traveler who just completed his 5 year hitchhiking travel around the world - visiting impressive 59 countries and gaining some unbelievable experiences around the way - all this without spending a cent on transportation.
