September 19, 2009 - Souvik Chakraborty and Gaurev Seth recently joined the Mumbai and New Delhi offices respectively. Souvik leads the leads the India Technology practice while Gaurav leads the Retail and Financial Services practices as well as the Business Process Outsourcing practice.
Prior to joining Transearch Souvik was the founder promoter of CAPntel Executive Search (a boutique Search and recruitment firm), which he managed successfully out of 5 locations in India for over 7 years. He has over 22 years of multifunctional experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Consulting. Previously he occupied senior managerial positions with Connect Capital, (a US based Venture Capital firm) Syntel (US based Software firm), ABC Consultants (Recruitment & Search firm) and Bharat Petroleum (formerly Shell) across the country.
Gaurav started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank, where he worked for fourteen years in technology and retail banking in Australia, India and the United Kingdom. He then joined the business process outsourcing industry where he during 8 years held leadership roles with Genpact, Standard & Poor’s and Westpac. Prior to joining Transearch India, he was Head of the Technology and BPO practice at Russell Reynolds Associates, India. Gaurav holds a B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.
