Track The Florida Primary Polls At Usaelectionpolls.com

USAElectionPolls.com has been archiving the 2008 presidential primary polls for all 50 states since the first polls came out in late 2004, shortly after George Bush was reelected to his second term in office.

Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2008 - USAElectionPolls.com has been archiving the 2008 presidential primary polls for all 50 states since the first polls came out in late 2004, shortly after George Bush was reelected to his second term in office.

Florida is a key battleground state in the general election and proves to be a major factor in the Republican race as it takes place just a week before February 5th (Super Tuesday) a day in which 22 states will cast their ballots.

According to USAElectionPolls.com, the first Republican primary poll in the state of Florida was taken in December 2004 where Jeb Bush won with 39%, beating candidates Rudy Giuliani and John McCain with 30% and 14% respectively. "Jeb Bush never sought the presidency in large part due to his brother's approval ratings as president" says USAElectionPolls.com.

Rudy Giuliani started beating out Jeb Bush in Florida in the middle of 2005 according to a Strategic Vision poll posted on USAElectionPolls.com. And both Giuliani and McCain were beating him by August 2005. When polling is done so early on, many of the candidates are hypothetical as it is not known who will be running. For example, the Florida polls had Condoleezza Rice was polling at 25% in Florida in September 2005.

Rudy Giuliani has put a major emphasis on winning Florida and although he has been leading in the polls since August 2005, he has been steadily slipping back to fourth place behind John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee.

The Democratic National Committee has stripped Florida of its delegates to the convention as punishment for moving up its primary to before February 5th. For this reason, none of the Democratic candidates intend to campaign in Florida. Hillary Clinton currently leads the field.

USAElectionPolls.com has quickly become the Internet's most visited polling archive with over 600,000 monthly unique visitors.
