July 05, 2007 - The idea is so ingenious because it is so simple. TownKings accommodates entire virtual towns in one browser window. One glance of the city map on the Internet then shows what's going on in the neighborhood at anytime. Each user who is registered at TownKings.com is a citizen of his own virtual town and can perpetuate himself with his own profile. Afterwards a pin appears in the cartography - directly in his city, at his workplace or any other place he would like to be seen.
The city at one glance
At first glance various symbols already precisely define which primary wishes a person has in the new social community. No matter if it concerns love, free time, work or maybe even sports: a suitable partner in the immediate neighborhood is quickly found. Important information can be directly accessed in the map profile by means of a mouse click.

Local communication
Besides the innovative local and map-based approach TownKings offers a multitude of interaction and communication functions. In addition to classical news, the service offers the self-developed MapChat and a Skype-like chat. In the process, the use of so-called instant emotions enables communicating feelings very quickly with a small picture.
Who is where tonight? - TownKings connects places and people. Residents can register for the various spots or create their own date ads. This way the TownKing or the TownQueen can see in advance who registered for which party.
Free dating - TownKings offers a free dating function for singles which other platforms charge up to 30 Dollar per month for. When TownDate is activated, the user's map icon gets a little heart which symbolizes flirt willingness. Pleasant one-click-emotions make initial contact easier.
TownKings is being launched in the public beta test
With immediate effect TownKings is launching the public beta test after 14-months of intensive development. Every interested user can register free of charge. As time goes by, more and more innovative functions will be successively activated and made available to the community.
Comment from Philipp Kraft, CEO: „As the first community, we now already visualize the connection of the users amongst themselves and show them optionally with their own picture or webcam video. At the same time, today TownKings doesn't even contain 50 percent of the functionality which we will be offering by the end of the year. For us, main issues are presentation and communication in local surroundings. Here we will set new standards internationally.“
In the next few weeks the TownPage editor is entering the race with this in mind. It allows all members of the TownKings community to create their own high-class, free homepage with an individual design, which cannot be compared to the currently plain profiles of the competitors.
