Russia has registered about 30 biological substances to be used in agriculture for the protection of plants. Neither country has such an extended list of biologically-safe preparations to combat plant diseases, blasts and pests.
Currently, the global market absorbs 5m mt of pesticides to the amount of $30bn. Over 300 varieties of herbicides are used for agricultural needs worldwide.
Biopesticides market is on the rise due to the changes in environmental legislature, tax regulations and consumer approaches.
Pesticides are often very cost-effective for farmers. Chemical engineers continually develop new pesticides to produce enhancements over previous generations of products.
