The trainer of Rotating workshops will be Ronald Frend. Ron is a registered engineer and has almost 40 years of engineering, consulting and management experience. Before opening an engineering consultancy in England, he rose to a senior management position in Shell International. Ron has worked extensively in Fitness for Service applications and now presents training courses for ASME in FFS and Materials worldwide. Ron has pioneered the use of Potential Failure Analysis (PFA)- a technique in which all possible modes of failure are examined before failure occurs. His clients include the big names in Shell Oil, Shell Tankers, KPO, Kuwait Petroluem Company, SABIC, Saudi Aramco, Huismna (Netherlands), Noble Drilling Co, Petroluem Development (Oman), Landrover, Ford Motor Co and General Motors.
Through the workshop, you will learn how to:
· Effectively using major codes ASME B&PV Sections VIII to more optimized design and fabrication
· Performing all necessary precaution in ordering, basic calculation, fabricating and inspecting pressure equipment in an efficient practice
· Performing calculations for some of the loadings and situations not addressed by the Code
· Effectively making cross-references to internal and external code requirements
· Performing all basic vessel calculations needed
