March 02, 2007 - NIWOT, CO - March 1, 2007 - During two decades of consulting to the oil and gas industry, Jackalope Geological, Ltd. compiled a massive core description database for Devonian and other Paleozoic and Mesozoic formations in the Williston Basin and adjacent parts of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
After Jackalope founder Don Kissling stepped back from full-time consulting activites in 2003, he and former partner Jim Ehrets contemplated how these historic databases might be preserved for geoscientists who remain active in the business of exploring and developing oil and gas reservoirs.
The result is this archive of unique rock descriptions, petrographic analyses, reservoir evaluations and field trip guides, all of which include extensive photographic documentation.
The new website features field trip previews with easy-to-use interactive maps, examples of core descriptions and reservoir evaluations available to order with pricing information.
