October 31, 2009 - Tompkins Pharmaceutical Rubber Corporation, a NJ manufacturer of custom molded rubber products for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, has purchased the operating assets of Amerimold Tech, Inc. of Marlboro, NJ. A fixture in the custom molding business for more than 60 years, the Amerimold acquisition has expanded Tompkins molding capabilities, particularly in the areas of Liquid Injection Silicone Molding.
“Tompkins and Amerimold Tech collectively have more than 165 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical products industries,” states Michael Carollo, Tompkins Division President. “Our expertise and tools are geared for the precise manufacturing and rigors of drug and medical product packaging.”
Tompkins is a certified ISO 9000:20001 component manufacturer, with separate molding operations and the use of DI water for cleaning pharmaceutical and medical device products. The firm maintains a full-time engineering staff, on site quality control laboratory and in house tool and die shop.
