February 25, 2008 - Boulder, Colo. – Feb 25, 2008 – Tombstone Cards (OTCBB: TMCI) today announced an agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Company that allows the company to offer officially licensed college images and logos enabling students, graduates, families, friends and alumni to commemorate time with their alma mater on a deck of customized playing cards.
The first colleges covered by the licensing agreement are the campuses of University of Colorado system (Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and the Anschutz Medical Campus), Colorado State University campuses (Fort Collins and Pueblo) and the United States Air Force Academy. The agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Company allows Tombstone Cards to use logos and copyrighted images from the three campuses plus the “Officially Licensed College Products” seal.
“The licensing agreement is part of our strategic effort to expand market reach,” said John Harris, Tombstone Cards president. “The seven campuses covered by this agreement have nearly 86,000 students, with tens of thousands of alumni, family and friends with a direct emotional link to the institutions. The sheer size of the market makes expanding into official college licensing a natural for Tombstone Cards.”
Graduates, friends and family can give a one-of-a-kind gift commemorating time spent on campus through Tombstonecards.com’s small-run, 24-deck minimum order and $8 per deck cost, with discounts for larger orders. Using specially designed graphics for each college as a template, the cards can be customized with the year of graduation and the degree granted. For each deck of cards ordered, a fee is paid to the respective school (samples below).
