July 24, 2007 - THE UK’s biggest childcare agency, Tinies, has secured its first Sure Start contract.
Tinies will open the creche in Battersea next month (AUGUST 2007), after winning Wandsworth Council’s tender process.
Oliver Black, director of Tinies, said: “The contract is for one fixed site and three satellite offerings.
“It’s our first piece of Government work. They liked our ability to offer flexible staffing and how we operate in other sites.”
The Battersea Integrated Children’s Services Creche will open Monday to Friday and is expected to take around 24 children.
As well as its crèche business, Tinies operates 25 recruitment branches across the UK, supplying nannies, nursery nurses, maternity nurses and emergency childcare provision.
Although Battersea is Tinies’ first Sure Start facility, the company runs numerous crèches both in the leisure industry and for private companies.
It has existing contracts with leisure operators such as Cannons Health Clubs and Four Season Hotels and in August it will take over the existing crèche facility at the Amida club in Hampton in August and the new Next Generation Club in Swindon.
Tinies will also open a new crèche facility at the GL14 Health Club and Spa in Hitchin, Hertfordshire in September.
