June 16, 2008 - HMS has just been informed that its TimeControl enterprise timesheet system has successfully passed independent software tests by Veritest as part of the Independent Software Vendor competency standing with Microsoft. This ensures that HMS’s Microsoft ISV competency will be extended through 2010. TimeControl is HMS Software’s enterprise timesheet system used by over 100,000 users worldwide.

Microsoft has a number of competencies in its partner program designed to distinguish the different types of relationships that partners might have with Microsoft. HMS holds three including the Information Worker Competency with the EPM Specialization, Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency based on the work done deploying both TimeControl and Microsoft Project Server and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Competency based on TimeControl passing several tests.
Each competency requires first passing the various steps required to show that the partner has the particular personnel with the skills required and the experience for that particular competency. For each competency, the partner must have at least three references which are verified by Microsoft.
To extend the ISV competency, HMS submitted TimeControl to Microsoft to be tested under stringent conditions by Veritest, a third-party independent testing facility. TimeControl had to pass the Microsoft Platform Tests for both Server and Client operation. TimeControl passed both the Windows Server Test and the SQL Server 2005 test to accomplish this standing. TimeControl is HMS Software’s enterprise timesheet system designed for project environments.
This standing is valid for a minimum of 2 years. Completing these tests allows HMS to connect with a range of Microsoft resources based on the HMS products which have gone through the Microsoft testing process.
