November 23, 2008 - “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.” Francis Church famously wrote in 1897. For several hundred Central Florida children, that will be true again this year.
The employees of Three Stars Media have set a goal for themselves to collect 1000 toys which will be distributed to local children who otherwise may not have any presents to open this Christmas.
On Christmas Eve Santa will ride through the children’s neighborhoods in a horse and carriage, passing out all of the collected presents. Accompanying him will be twenty volunteers from the company.
The idea was presented to the company’s staff at a meeting on Tuesday morning. The employees had gathered at the site of their new offices, a building the company hopes to be completely moved into by the first of the year. The idea to collect the toys was enthusiastically received by the cheering crowd who eagerly took up the challenge to collect 1000 toys.
“Orlando has been so wonderful to us, we’ve been able to build our company using the area’s diverse pool of talented individuals, it just made sense to give something back,” said a company spokesperson.
Three Stars Media, an international marketing company with offices around the globe, is headquartered in Orlando. Currently, the company employs over 200 employees at its corporate headquarters.
