Skochdopole have been selected by their peers for inclusion on D Magazine's "Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016" list in the categories of Real Estate, Immigration and Tax: General, respectively.

The "Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016" features attorneys across more than 48 practice areas chosen by fellow Texas attorneys who answered the publication-posed question, "Which Dallas lawyers, of those whose work you have witnessed firsthand, would you rank among the current best?" Respondents were asked to provide two lawyers from outside their firm and one within their firm across all voting categories. After tallying the votes, nominees were evaluated by the magazine's editors in concert with a panel of attorneys selected by the publication.

McLaughlin's commercial real estate practice ranges from large leasing transactions (office, warehouse-flex, retail, solar, wind and desalinization plants) through acquisitions, dispositions, land use and development. She represents Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), including medical office building REITs and storage REITs. McLaughlin also represents individuals in their real estate investment property needs. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (J.D., 2001; B.A., 1991) and the University of Michigan (M.S., 1994).

Pollak leads the firm's Immigration practice and provides full-service legal immigration counsel to large corporations, small businesses and individuals. Her docket routinely includes representing businesses and families in obtaining immigrant and non-immigrant visas to live and work in the United States. Pollak also assists corporations in compliance audits and immigration-related corporate policy formulation. Her immigration litigation practice focuses on federal court litigation under the Administrative Procedure Act and removal defense. Pollak is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, where she earned both her undergraduate and law degrees (B.A., 1989; LLB, 1993).

Skochdopole is active in the firm's tax, mergers and acquisitions and corporate practices. He is well-versed in structuring, negotiating and closing a wide variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, debt and equity financings and start-ups. Skochdopole has negotiated and drafted a multitude of commercial arrangements, including partnership and LLC agreements; service, supply, vendor and customer contracts; employment-related agreements; and compensation plans.
