  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) January 31, 2015 - National Christian Writers Conference (ncwcfr.com), the premier conference for writers, authors, music artists and speakers announced today, publishing industry trailblazer Pete Nikolai will join a panel of expert writers, authors, editors, agents and publishers at the Orange County Christian Writers Conference (http://www.occwf.org) on April 24th and 25th, 2015 in Santa Ana, California.

Pete Nikolai is the co-author of Write Your Book and the Publisher of WestBow Press, the self-publishing services division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, which he has managed since overseeing its launch in 2009. Having more than 20 years experience in traditional publishing, Pete Nikolai is a visionary with insight on how digital publishing, e-books, e-readers and electronic distribution have transformed the publishing industry for writers and authors. "In every author's success story, there is a history and a beginning.

At WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson & Zondervan, we help people bring their ideas together and self-publish books using traditional and non-traditional methods," explained Pete. In WestBow Press, titles that demonstrate strong sales and good reviews are considered for acquisition by Thomas Nelson and Zondervan. Multiple WestBow authors have been discovered and offered traditional publishing contracts including Annie Downs, William Sirls, Sharon Garlough Brown, and David Charles Spurgeon. Pete would love to talk with authors about the next steps in getting their book written and published either traditionally or self-publishing at the Orange County Christian Writers Conference (occwf.org).

The two-day conference will help writers at all levels avoid costly mistakes, hone their writing skills, and learn innovative methods to get their writing published. The conference will include more than thirty workshops on writing fiction and nonfiction books, writing magazine articles for children, teens, and adults, including topics such as humor, script writing, publishing, and book marketing. The conference will celebrate its 30th anniversary with performances from comedienne Renae Brumbaugh Green, actress Kathy Bruins, and gospel recording artist Stephen B. Steward.
