July 27, 2009 - “It’s an exciting time for The Women’s Networking Alliance,” says founder Debbie Quintana. “We’ve been on a successful path since 2007 and I’m really excited about our future. Today’s announcement is designed to continue our success and ensure growth within our own organization.” Quintana is talking about several organizational changes including stepping down as the organizations president.
Proudly, Melissa Stacey has been appointed President of WNA. Melissa took on a VP role last year and has shown incredible interest and support to the entire organization. The success of her own company, Feeling Organized, her strong business sense and her involvement in several different networking organizations are testimonials of her desire to help others. "It's the perfect match for WNA and I'm grateful she is willing to take on this new role." says Quintana
Backfilling Melissa’s Vice President position is Stacey Vulakh of Achieve Personal Coaching. Beth Walker of Hillview Printing assumes the role of membership chair. Dr. Stephanie Rozenhart of Rozenhart Family Chiropractic will remain as the education chair. Becky Trovato of Plan2Party as the community chair and Amy Frugoli of Twitterpated Weddings will continue as WNA’s chair. This board will continue to support WNA’s strong foundation of enabling, empowering and supporting women in business.
WNA was founded on a platform of enabling growth for its members. But it's not just the members that have seen success. WNA itself has blossomed into an organization of growth. Often finding themselves with a wait list for membership, WNA has been humbled by long term members. Members appreciate the loose but professional structure, inexpensive dues and a variety of opportunities to help one another and their community. It's this success that is knocking at Quintana's door asking for expansion.
And, it’s no surprise that Quintana has every intention of taking WNA to the next level. She has already been approached by her peers in the gift basket industry (Quintana owns two gift basket companies herself) to start their own local chapters of WNA in other states. Her latest adventure, The Gift Basket Association, is already demonstrating success in helping other gift basket business owners and they’re looking to jump on the WNA bandwagon too. She's expected to make a formal announcement in the next few weeks announcement to take WNA national in 2010.
“We’ve got a great business model and expanding our organization, while maintaining our original foundation, will benefit many others. We, as small business owners, need to support each other in good times and bad – it’s just the right thing to do.”
