The South Florida Firefighters Calendar Has Gone Green

One of the longest running firemen calendars in the nation makes environmental statement


Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) August 06, 2008 - What is hot, sexy and green all over? The South Florida Firefighters Calendar announced today that it is going green. AC Graphics, the first triple certified green printer in the state of Florida, has partnered with the calendar to print the 2009 edition on paper derived from sustainable forests that doesn’t harm the environment.

“We are excited that AC Graphics is allowing us to make this possible. The South Florida Firefighters Calendar is about giving back to the community,” said calendar creator and President Lt. Luis Espinosa. “This year we are proud to take it a step further by doing something that is also good for the earth. As we get closer to our 20h year anniversary it's great to see that the calendar just continues to get bigger and better.”

The new earth friendly calendar will be revealed at this years annual grand opening weekend August 14-17th. During those days, the hot heroes will finally be unveiled, igniting flames to raise awareness and funds for local charities.

The South Florida Firefighters Calendar - one of the hottest and longest running in the nation -- will be sold and autographed by the firefighter models at all official events for $17 which goes to Here's Help, an acclaimed drug treatment and rehabilitation program created by "Footy," South Florida's famous WIOD News Radio 610 radio personality and host of the Footy Show and other amazing local charities.

Unveiling weekend events:
• Thursday, August 14, 7:00 p.m.: Calendar hotties sign and autograph calendars at Nikki Coconut Grove. 2889 Mc Farlane Road, Coconut Grove. Calendar sales ($17). Calendar sales benefit Here's Help and other local/firefighter charities.

• Friday, August 15, 9:30 p.m.: Party at Round-Up Country Western Club, 9020 West State Road 84, Davie. Calendar sales ($17)/autographing session benefits Here's Help and other local/firefighter charities. For info. Call 954-423-1990 . Ladies Night with free drinks for all the ladies 8pm till 1am.

• Saturday, August 16, 1:00 p.m.: Meet the Firefighters at a South Florida Mall. Location to be announced soon. Please check the website for updates. Calendar sales ($17)/autographing session benefits Here's Help and other local/firefighter charities. Free.

• Sunday, August 17, 1:00 p.m.: Meet the Firefighters at Boca Town Center Mall, 600 Glades Road, and Boca Raton. Calendar sales ($17)/autographing session benefits Here's Help and other local/firefighter charities. Free. For info call 561-368-6000.

Additional events in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are being scheduled over the next few months. With the addition of a firefighter from Ft.
