July 11, 2007 - The Sound Room has recently been named one of the country’s top 40 hybrid retailers by CE Pro Retailing magazine.
CE Pro Retailing magazine, a leading industry publication, ranked the top hybrid retail companies based on revenue in residential installations with multiple systems. The Sound Room is No. 16 on the list. Hybrid retailers include companies that offer both retail and installation services.
Nearly 80 percent of the top 40 hybrid’s business is linked to installation services, up from 43 percent a year ago. The Sound Room has experienced this trend, finding success with its custom installations. The company recently hired five new installers to keep up with demand.

Overall, hybrids on the list report that nearly half of their business is from new construction, slightly less than last year. Young also attributes the firm’s success to large-scale home automation and networking. The company is currently working on several projects with seven-figure budgets for home technology and automation.
