April 09, 2008 - Waynesville, NC: Applications to be a featured person, place or event are beginning to flood in from across the country. However, there is still time for you to send in an application to have an individual, event or your community featured. “The See America Tour” will begin filming in July 2008. This will result in a broadcast quality video series suitable for cable and network distribution. Additionally, the resulting “See America Series”, will be available through web TV and retail outlets nationwide.
The America Companies is looking for good news to celebrate America the Beautiful and its amazing people. Do you know of individuals who exemplify a positive mental attitude of hope and pride in this great land? Perhaps you know of a business that is actively investing in America and economically helping a town survive and thrive. What special events does your community celebrate that helps preserve its character and its culture? Does your school support programs which encourage children’s patriotism and good citizenship? Perhaps your civic organizations have a unique project or cause that offers new promise and hope to others. There are many, many ways to celebrate the American spirit-most go unnoticed and unheralded.

We are seeking your stories of strength of the people and communities in this land of the free and the home of the brave.
