September 27, 2008 - Viktor Novikov - the chief designer of the Central design office specializing in tracked and wheeled machines, Vadim Kalabashkin –Deputy Director General on sales of the “Tractor plants” concern” machine-building holding and Dennis J. Slater- the President of Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) took part at the press conference. More than 30 trade, social and political editions participated at the press conference.
According to Viktor Novikov, when designing a regular model of “CHETRA” bulldozer they succeeded in increase of operation reliability and comfort for an operator. Russian designers took into account Customers’ current needs and calculated service rating of the model to service weight (434 kW/590 hp at 67850 kg) higher, than that at all analogues of such type machinery (40 t) presented in the world market. At present the Russian bulldozer of a new generation passed successfully the total cycle of tests and was launched for lot production on the decision of the management of “Tractor plants” concern.
Vadim Kalabashkin, who assumed office of Deputy General Director on the 8 of September 2008, expressed confidence that for CHETRA T40 dozer there are magnificent prospects both in Russian and world markets. In his opinion there is a considerable demand for machines with such characteristics. He also noted that “Tractor plants” concern” is the biggest off-highway machinery manufacturer in Russia and is oriented to meet the Customers’ requirements of the quick developing industry sectors, including mineral resource industry, road and infrastructure construction, oil and gas sector, transport and defense industries as well as agriculture. At CONEXPO RUSSIA the Russian machine–building holding showed its capabilities in ensuring the whole product life cycle - from designing up to the after-sale service. Products as well as spare parts and components produced by the enterprises of the “Tractor plants» concern” were presented at 2 “CHETRA” stands (№ 1039, D2, hall №3).
In his speech Dennis J. Slater as the President of the biggest branch organization expressed his readiness to render assistance of every kind in promotion of “CHETRA” brand in the leading world markets. He is sure that Russian manufacturers have excellent prospects for presenting their products in the markets of countries with developing economics. At present two Russian companies –“Tractor plants” concern” and “GAZ” Group - which are ready to offer their products to foreign customers – became already members of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
