The Chinese New Year is the most important traditional Chinese holiday. The mouse is just one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, the others being ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. According to Chinese tradition, each animal is associated with unique personality traits.
