May 20, 2009 - The “Image of God” video, a Full Spectrum production by Steven Sherman, is not only enlightening but contains beautiful images, sound effects and some original Hebraic-style music during the second half of the video. It is now available for viewing on-line at http://www.tangle.com.
Romans 1:20 explains that: For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Therefore, what God has revealed to mankind concerning his characteristics are – (1) His invisible attributes, (2) His eternal power, and (3) His Divine nature. The triad is obvious to us as the beginning, middle and end; birth, life and death; past present and future; thesis, antithesis and synthesis.
According to Genesis 1:26, man was created in the image and likeness of God himself: Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
The Hebrew word for God, Elohim, is a plural noun. Let us make man in our image speaks of the three persons of the Trinity. One God in three persons made man who is comprised of body, soul, and spirit. From the subatomic particles of quarks, leptons and gluons - the material universe at its most infinitesimal level - to vast galaxies, all bear the image and likeness of our triune God.
